Waiting

Why do we sit by the phone and wait. Pink (the artist) puts it perfectly...

"Have you ever hated yourself for staring at the phone
Your whole life waiting on a ring to prove your not alone"

Why does that make you alone. We all do it, check our cell phone, missed calls, voicemail, text messages, email, and bbm waiting for someone to say something.  What if we didn't have the technology we have today? Would we still feel alone not having that form of instant communication?

I have heard that people can be so connected that you can feel if the other person is hurt no matter how far away they are. How true is that, is it fictional, something the fairy tales made up to help little girls sleep.  If true what is that connection and do we really want to be that connected to someone?

Friends sometimes call at the perfect moment, when you need them the most.  They have no idea maybe saw something on the tv (an advil commercial), saw a bar that reminded them of you and call. Is it luck, chance, destiny, faith? Who knows but when you need someone instead of staring at the phone be brave, pick it up and just say "hi".

I want to say "thank you" you know who you are and your friendship helps me continue to fight everyday for what I know is right!
